Surveillance and Force Protection

Surveillance and Counter-Surveillance: Students learn the art of discreet observation of an individual or group targeted for the purposes of intelligence collection. Surveillance aspects include area familiarization, cover, and flow while always considering potential target actions. Tailored to small, medium, and large urban environments, training allows for progression and testing of students' skills. Centerra utilizes a cadre of role players for shorter drills and longer scenarios to help students refine their operational planning and execution of surveillance operations.

Surveillance Detection (SD) for Facilities: Students analyze the vulnerability of critical facility and employ pro-active SD positions and operations. Vulnerability is assessed from the attacker’s perspective to 1) understand the potential threat and 2) understand how an attacker may seek to exploit that vulnerability. To address identified vulnerabilities, students participate in operational planning exercises from the attacker’s perspective to implement necessary procedures that complement existing security infrastructure and plans.

Surveillance Detection for Routine Travel: Recognizing patterns lead travelers to understand where the hostile surveillance's red zone exists, students analyze travel patterns to understand predictable, routine travel security, where their vulnerabilities lay, and where the weakness of hostile surveillance exists. With this knowledge, the traveler can be better prepared to combat any adverse action through counter action pursuant to security awareness.

Safety: Centerra’s training programs comply with OSHA and EPA requirements, and conform to the intent of ISO 14001.

Protective Services and Operations: Through customized courses, groups or individuals who provide security for VIPs in high-risk environments around the world participate in a full spectrum of protective operations training, including terminology, mission planning, evasive driving, motorcade operations, and weapons training.
